CARTOON APPEARANCES
The Punisher has made guest appearances in three episodes of the cartoon ‘Spider-Man: The Animated Series’, where he was voiced by a character actor named John Beck.
He first appeared in Season 2 to fight against Spidey, believing him to be a villain, and then teamed up with Kraven the Hunter to cure the web-slinger, who had mutated into a Man-Spider. By this time The Punisher had realised that Spider-Man was actually a hero rather than a crminal.
The Punisher made a re-appearance in Season 4 of the cartoon series, where he teamed up with Spidey to save his girlfriend Mary Jane from the evil clutches of The Green Goblin.
The cartoon also saw appearances for Frank’s sidekick Microchip (voiced by Robert Axelrod).
